I had two treasured photos of my mother with a hand embroidered silk mat about 60 years old that had water damage, mold and stains. I had serious doubt that my photos and especially the mat could be saved. The results were amazing, better than I had imagined. I also had a much neglected antique frame restored, very carefully and professionally done. Susan P.
"I have been an antiques and art dealer for over 50 years, the first 30 as a principal and President of Midtown Antiques, Inc. of New York City. Midtown Antiques, Inc. was one of America's leading wholesale dealers, specializing in period antiques and fine art. For the past 23 years I have acted as an appraiser of art and antiques in the San Diego area.
For the past two years I have had the pleasure to work with Theresa Brunston, principal of Harrison's of London of La Mesa, CA on many projects pertaining to the restoration and conservation of fine paintings and antique frames.
Mrs. Brunston's attention to detail and her skills have been greatly appreciated by the clients that I have referred to her. She follows simple ethical guidelines, such as minimal intervention and the use of time-proven materials and sound techniques. The result is the restoration of art pieces to their former glory and value.
Theresa trained under Milroy Harrison, founder of Harrison's of London, a skilled craftsman who enjoyed a long career in England before emigrating to San Diego." Lewis Robinson,
